About this program

Greek (Biblical)

Learn Biblical Greek, the language of the New Testament and the Greek translation of the Hebrew Bible. Known as Koine Greek, it was used throughout the Mediterranean world from the time of Alexander the Great until the late Roman Empire. In this course, you'll discover more about the world in which Jesus and the apostles lived. You'll study early texts of the Christian church in their original language and come closer to the exciting world of late Hellenistic and early Christian development.

Greek (Modern)

Whether you are planning a trip to Greece, looking to improve your proficiency in your family’s native language, or joining a family with Greek heritage, our course in Modern Greek can help you navigate your way through the country and the language. Through role-playing and other exercises, you'll learn how to participate in everyday conversations.

Greek (Ancient)

Join us and study Attic Greek, the classical language of some of the greatest works of Western literature.  We’ll look at some cultural and historical aspects of Greek. And we’ll see the vital part that this nuanced and beautiful language still plays in our way of speaking and thinking today.
