ABOUT THIS PROGRAM

Become proficient at analyzing numbers, recognizing patterns, and spotting opportunities for your business as you work your way through our comprehensive line-up of accounting courses. We offer courses in accounting as well as certificate programs that will help you gain new skills, validate your existing knowledge, or support your pursuit of a professional credential – such as the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).

CPA Ontario is working with university partners across the profession, including UofT SCS, to launch a new CPA Professional Program in 2027—a modern path to becoming a CPA. The program combines technical excellence in accounting and a strong foundation in ethics with real-world experience and future-focused skills that respond to the demands of a world shaped by AI. 

UofT SCS will continue its partnership with CPA Ontario once the new program is introduced. In the meantime, CPA Ontario advises learners to continue with their current pathway as the new program will not take effect until 2027. The CPA Preparatory (PREP) courses offered by UofT SCS continue to provide essential foundational skills that will remain relevant under the updated program.
