Lindsay Brooks, M.A., CTESL,
Academic Director, English Language Program

As the Academic Director of the English Language Program (ELP), my key responsibility is to manage our academic programs and curricula. I work closely with the instructors and coordinators (and learners when I have the opportunity) across all of our tri-campus language programs. My academic and research interests include teacher training, language assessment, and feedback practices. I love to combine my passion for travel, languages, and running by travelling to different destinations to run marathons.

Program Director, Languages and Translation, Arts and Science

As the Program Director of Languages and Translation, Arts and Science, I supervise the teaching of 20 languages and about 120 humanities courses. I studied English, French, and Mandarin at Trinity College, University of Toronto, and later completed graduate work in theology at the Toronto School of Theology (U of T), and in Rome and Jerusalem (Licentiate in Scripture; Doctorate in Theology). My areas of scholarly research are the early and late biblical books of Exodus and Ezra-Nehemiah, and the emerging areas of cross-cultural studies and political theology. After all these years, I am again studying Mandarin – and still finding it difficult!
