Support Request Timelines (Recommended)

The deadlines provided below are recommended only but we advise that you follow them as closely as possible. You are welcome to make these requests as soon as possible, and even before these deadlines if possible. We do understand that it is not always possible to make requests within these deadlines and we will always do the best we can to make these arrangements. However, once these deadlines pass we cannot guarantee that the requested accommodations can be arranged in time.

 

Note Taker Request: At least 7 business days before the start date of a course.
Multiple Format Request: 2-4 weeks prior to the start date of a course.
Quizzes (Both In-class and online): 1-2 weeks prior to the scheduled quiz date.
Mid-Terms (Both in-class and online): 1-2 weeks prior to the scheduled mid-term date.
Final Exams (in-class): 4 weeks prior to the scheduled examination date.
Final Exams (online): Deadline is the same as listed on the Exam Application Form required for all learners to submit when registering to write a final exam. When completing this form indicate ‘Accommodations’ so that the Exam Office can make the necessary arrangements in collaboration with the Accessibility Team.
Assignment Extension Requests:

For learners who have approved assignment extensions, these requests must be made with the Instructor directly and before the assignment deadline.

The maximum extension time granted is one week beyond the original deadline, unless there are extreme extenuating circumstances.

Special Requests: For learners who require supports that have not been listed here, please notify the Accessibility Team as soon as possible.
