If you hope to work as a translator, this certificate can bring you closer to a career. It assumes you are already confidently bilingual and can express yourself like a native in the formal, written idiom in English and Korean. You'll learn how to translate original text accurately while preserving its integrity, meaning, style and nuance. You'll also become proficient in analyzing and understanding complex, real-world documents. While the program is rigorous, with translation assignments of increasing complexity, the potential rewards make it well worth the effort. To pass, the minimum average mark in each Translation course is 70%. With each level, the exercises focus increasingly on translations from English into Korean.
