CPR & First Aid

  • Know how to quickly identify, prevent and intervene in life-threatening situations such as cardiac arrest or stroke.
  • Comfort and help someone who is ill or injured, and increase their chances of survival until emergency personnel arrive.

More than 200 Canadians die every day from heart disease and stroke. If just one person on hand knew how to perform CPR or use a defibrillator, it would double the chances of survival for someone in cardiac arrest. You could be that person. Our CPR and First Aid courses give you the knowledge, skill, and confidence you need to step up and take charge in any situation. Right now, only one in five Canadians has the training to help. This program will teach you how to deal with health crises that are immediately life-threatening – choking, for example – as well as those that could get worse without attention, such as asthma attacks and diabetic emergencies. If you complete the courses successfully, you’ll earn a Canadian Red Cross certification, recognized by WSIB and valid for three years. Be the person who is ready to help when no one else can.
