Obtain a Project Management Professional (PMP®)

To become Project Management Professionals (PMP®), candidates must meet all of the following requirements.

1. Education and Experience
Pathway A Pathway B
  1. Possess a four-year degree (bachelor’s or global equivalent)
  2. Demonstrate a minimum of 4,500 hours of project management experience (paid, unpaid and/or volunteer) leading and directing in projects, and,
  3. 35 hours of project management education.
  1. Possess a secondary diploma (high school; associate’s degree or global equivalent) and
  2. Demonstrate a minimum of 7,500 hours of project management experience (paid, unpaid and/or volunteer) leading and directing in projects, and,
  3. 35 hours of project management education.
2. Submit the PMP® Application and Gain Approval to Write Exam
3. Write PMP® exam
