CIM Chartered Managers Canada (CIM)
About CIM Chartered Managers Canada
Founded in 1942, CIM Chartered Managers Canada is a professional association, certification body and academic institute for managers and leaders. As a Federally Chartered not-for-profit organization, the Institute operates through 14 chapters across Canada. It has provided management development and certification to over 80,000 managers since its founding.
One professional permeates all industry sectors: the manager. The manager provides leadership, business skills, and technical knowledge to help achieve organizational goals. No other single professional embraces responsibility on so many levels, and across the breadth of an entire organization, than managers who lead others and take responsibility for their actions.
The University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies is proud to partner with the CIM Chartered Managers Canada. CIM recognizes SCS courses as equivalent to the 8 course “Chartered Management Program (CMP)”. Whether you are working towards a career in management, or building on previous education and experience, the comprehensive 8-course education program available at the U of T School of Continuing Studies (in-class or online) leads to recognized management credentials which signal your commitment to professionalism.
The Institute offers two professional designations:
- Certified in Management (C.I.M.), an entry-level designation;
- Chartered Manager (C.Mgr.), a designation for those with an undergraduate degree.
