U of T Welcomes New Dean of the School of Continuing Studies

Toronto, January 9, 2017 – The University of Toronto has appointed Dr. Maureen MacDonald as Dean of the School of Continuing Studies. Dr. MacDonald brings to this position more than 20 years of expertise in the field of continuing education. In her previous role as Dean of the Division of Continuing Studies at the University of Victoria (UVic), Dr. MacDonald led the development of two five-year strategic plans for the Division of Continuing Studies, and developed academic plans that fed into UVic’s annual integrated planning process. The financial success of the Division enabled Dr. MacDonald and her team to self-finance a $13-million expansion project of their Continuing Studies Building, which was completed last March.

Toronto, ON (November 23, 2016) – Marilynn Booth, Dean of the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies, is among the Winners of the 2016 Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Awards, presented by the Women’s Executive Network (WXN). Launched in 2003, the Top 100 Awards celebrate the accomplishments of Canadian women across a wide range of fields and professions who have contributed significantly as leaders, innovators and role models. Recognized in the PwC Public Sector Leaders category, Marilynn will join this year’s Award Winners for a gala celebration at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on Thursday, November 24.
