U of T SCS to Attend City Career Expo in ScarboroughEnglish Language Program
The University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies is excited to be attending the City Career Expo in Scarborough Town Centre. This free event gives job seekers opportunities to connect with employers and to further their careers.
SCS staff will be on hand to talk to attendees about a variety of topics including consultations for the Part-Time English Language Program, Comparative Education Service Assessments for individuals who have training from international institutions, and the Licensing International Engineers into the Profession (LIEP) program. Attendees can also talk to SCS representatives about the variety of certificates offered by the school, and the ways that SCS can help students achieve long-term career goals.
Phil Shalm, Associate Director of the School of Continuing Studies notes that SCS offers unique opportunities to job seekers. “SCS makes university level courses available to anyone who is seeking career growth or change. While most of our registrants already have a degree or diploma, a significant number do not; our SCS programming helps them create career opportunities.”
Through in-class options at U of T Scarborough as well as online learning opportunities, SCS aims to serve learners all across the GTA. Shalm adds that he is “looking forward to meeting and developing a better understanding of the interests of the Toronto East population.”
