Instructor Ken Babstock Nominated for Prestigious Griffin Poetry Prize
The University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies congratulates instructor Ken Babstock, whose fourth collection of poetry, Methodist Hatchet, is on the Griffin Poetry Prize Canadian Shortlist. An international panel of judges selected seven finalists from 481 books from 37 countries. Two lucrative prizes of $65,000 are given each year in two categories: Canadian and International poetry.
An award-winning poet, Ken Babstock has been teaching poetry at the School of Continuing Studies for ten years. This summer he will lead the poetry workshop at our popular U of T Summer Writing School from July 16 – 20 and in September he will teach the Poetry Master Class (1689 – 009).
