Certificate in Publicity & Public Relations

The primary role of publicity is to further the promotion and sales of a company’s products and services through the optimum positioning of targeted media coverage, whereas public relations is the management of community perceptions and information, often in maintaining a positive company image, and also in offering related services such as investor communications, community relations, and crisis management.

This unique certificate will cover Publicity & PR fundamentals and tools, and will provide successful templates for maximizing your message and the role of the media in marketing your company and its products.

Certificate Requirements

This certificate requires the successful completion of two courses.

SCS 2122 Tools & Fundamentals of Publicity & PR
SCS 2126 Publicity & Public Relations: It’s All About Audience

Note: Students have one year from the start date of their first course to complete the certificate.
